Works great, holds the equivalent of three water bottles, doesn't bounce

Used in a 10K run at Heart Bar (7500ft elevation) near Big Bear, California. Works great, holds the equivalent of three water bottles with room for a cell phone, two more water bottles, gel packs and bear spray. Does not bounce or cause irritation. The breathable fabric didn't make me hotter or wetter.

  • Great for me

Bad design - avoid this package

I had a previous model that worked great but this new design is just ridiculous. The hole for the tank is too small and the tank now has a long handle that makes it almost impossible to get out of the backpack. And putting it back in the package is also not easy. If you refill it at home at the counter, it's not that difficult - it just takes a lot of time. But when you're traveling or racing, it's too bulky.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • High price

Got it for work. Amazing

I am a postman. I walk 8 to 13 miles a day, six days a week. In the heat it's murder. This thing allows me to carry a frozen mass of water on my back, a few bottles in the front, and still leave pockets for essentials! Maybe I want to spend a long day walking briskly and climbing steps and hills. The fit is good, does not rub. Concerns about tiny plastic fasteners proved to be in vain. I've been training every day for the last 6 weeks and it's holding up well despite being mostly mesh.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some little things

Lightweight - Accessory

Very good moisture pack. I've been using it for long, hot, sweaty runs all summer long and it's worked well. I was afraid it might feel heavy, springy, or annoying, but it worked well. When I first used it I felt cramped as the chest straps (two of them) felt a bit tight, even pulled all the way out, but I just removed the bottom strap (easy to fasten) and it's nice and loose now. what I prefer. Very light so it dries quickly after a sweaty run. Highly recommended for any runner who wants toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial

  • Slightly wrinkled

Perfect for marathon training.

I am training for a marathon that is fast approaching and this pack is exactly what I was looking for - it changes everything. I was looking for something light (actually unobtrusive) that could support a decent sized bladder and wouldn't irritate me while running. I've tried flip belts and various wearables but have never been able to get the full hydration I needed on longer runs. So I found this and used it for the first time today and hit 20 miles like it was 10. I wore a backpack with aโ€ฆ

Hydrator difficult to replace

I bought it because the editorial review was really good and I know the brand. I was surprised at how difficult it is to get the bladder out on long trail runs. The hose has a quick connector, but there is no easy way to fill the chamber on the fly, especially during accessory races. To fill it, the bladder has to be completely removed, which means opening it from inside the bag, pulling it down to release the tube, and then trying to pull it out, which is very difficult. I will only keep itโ€ฆ

A solid backpack with a few flaws

Worn many times this autumn, walked 3 hours. Overall it worked well, but there are some issues (in cons) that will make me try a different package next time. Pros Fits well and is easy to set up; Side and chest straps are easy to reach and tighten on the go. The 1.5 liter tank was more than adequate for my needs. I like pockets that are easy to access without chafing. Handles sweat well and doesn't feel "wet". Cons: The iPhone 8 in my pocket (designed for a phone) barely fits and pokes into myโ€ฆ

Super light, nothing to carry other than water

I've had a marathoner backpack before and it was AMAZING. Unfortunately it has been discontinued. After much research I decided to do it. This is a normal backpack, but it is very different from the marathoner. The best way to do that is with this pack, it's like a tank shell and little more. I've been using it for about a month now, here are my thoughts. I can drink it while it's still sealed, I don't have to open and reseal it. Enough space to store a few gels, suitable for medium distanceโ€ฆ

  • Easy to read control panel
