Genuine OEM toner that came with it quickly. I bought the XL cartridge hoping to get an extended replacement period. It's too early to tell if this will be true. Cheaper than in the office supply store. I've had mixed results with 3rd party toners in the past, sometimes only 2-3 months with the XL cartridge before streaking appeared. I've never had this problem with an OEM toner. In the long run, it costs the same but with fewer complications.

Although these four high capacity cartridges are sold as a set and shrink wrapped, I had a standard capacity cartridge. See photo of magenta erroneously included in standard capacity. We are currently trying to find a replacement.

A high capacity black CRG 054H cartridge was purchased and installed when required. Bought a full kit to be ready when my new Canon printer runs out of colors. Canon 642 came with standard cartridges, when they ran out I replaced them with these "high capacity" ones. Yellow in particular has a very short lifespan. I printed a total of 423 color pages and the high capacity is already at 40% capacity. This means that the actual yield of the High Yield Yellow cartridge is only 1,000 pages, not the advertised 2,300 pages.
