Amazing entry-level camera!

After I put it to the test during my recent vacation, I was blown away by the stunning image quality and ease of use of this Canon camera. The autofocus is quick and accurate, and it performs well in low light situations. Plus, its compact size makes it easy to carry around.

Pros
  • The only downside I experienced is that the battery life isn't the greatest, so I would recommend bringing an extra battery if you plan on using it extensively.

Poor choice for video conferencing and streaming due to latency and software issues

I bought this camera along with a Sigma 1.4 lens to improve video conferencing as it was reasonably priced and cheaper than comparable Sony options. Unfortunately after a month of disappointment I will be returning this camera and lens. To be clear: the camera worked for me and the picture was perfect. The main problem is that the Canon USB WebCam software is really laggy and inconsistent and the HDMI output requires a capture device and also has a lag that makes it extremely difficult to sync…

Overheats after 5 minutes of operation. Window closed for 1 day on return leaving product stuck.

My biggest problem with this product is that it cannot be used unless you use the HDMI output to the capture card, to record at 1080p at 60 fps.The webcam will cause the device to overheat and shut down after about 15-20 minutes.Recording directly from the camera at ANY resolution or frame rate will cause the device to shut down within 15-30 minutes overheating. overheating and shutting down after about 30 minutes. what's the point of this camera if you need to connect a cooler to it to even…
