So I've only used this camera quite a bit but thought I'd make a first impression so post it now and I will update in a month or so. I'm not a professional photographer, but my main camera is a Canon EOS Rebel T3 DSLR Canon EOS Rebel T3 with an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens (discontinued by manufacturer). I haven't read the manual fully either. Pros: --------------- 1) Small and light: One of my co-workers threw me a camera box, not realizing there was a camera inside. 2) View from a distance:

Pros
  • Camera and photo
Cons
  • Questionable buy for seniors

STILL the best value for money in compact shooting!

From day one it does what it has to do. This is my third Canon ELPH, previous models were 110 HS and 330 HS. There is no noticeable difference in image quality compared to my 330. Zoom has been greatly improved and has slightly better image stabilization compared to 330. MP4 has replaced the outdated MOV format for videos. I'm NOT a camera tech and I don't use half of this camera's features, but I know a good picture when I see it and one of the main things that impresses me about the ELPH…

Pros
  • Point and Shoot Digital Cameras
Cons
  • Available in black only

Great little pocket camera.

Great little pocket camera. I have a Nikon DSLR. I have a Sony mirrorless DSLR. And I have an iPhone 6, so why buy this pocket camera? I wanted something to hike with. This pretty much rules out both DLSRs. Too heavy, bulky and expensive to risk climbing mountains and wading through swamps, crossing streams or in sudden downpours. What about the iPhone? It's fine for shots, maybe 5-20 feet away, but many of the shots you want to take on a hike will be very far away, and the iPhone doesn't have…
