This is the perfect rendition of my favorite everyday style with jeans. I prefer this canvas (as well as military belts - or at least those in the 1980's) to the stiffer nylon. [IMHO it's too flexible for concealed carry, however.] The tarpaulin wears out quicker, but at this price point, so what. This is a well tailored belt. I have had several of these fabric belts and this one sews better than most. The material is high quality, moderately hard, but only in a good sense, not at all thin like some other fabric belts. I see many reviews stating the belt was cut incorrectly and then complain about it. To resize such a belt, and it's easy, you have to cut off the end that attaches to the buckle, you don't cut off the free end, which has one end with a decorative metal clip, so don't do it

These are great no frills belts for work trousers when wearing a leather belt would seem uncomfortable. For example, if you wear black sneakers, it will be uncomfortable to wear a leather belt. IMO, the material and color of the strap should always match the shoes. I cut it to fit my waist so there is a 4 1/4" extra length when buttoned up which looks classy and elegant.
