I bought a small size 4-6 for my 3 year old daughter who normally wears size 4 pants. I know dance outfits can usually shrink, so I figured I was safe. you are def Runs larger than shown in the photo. (I forgot to let her try it on before show day) She will be able to grow in it, but if you're worried about them being small, don't worry.

Bought these to give my 3 year old leotard a little extra protection. She is petite and wears 2T pants in streetwear. These T (2-4) shorts are a little loose but not loose enough to fall down. There is room for improvement, which is great. Unlike most swimsuits from different brands, I think they are truer to size and not as small as Leo's. These are definitely short shorts, but they are great for our gym purposes. They also work well as little shorts under a dress or skirt.
