Evenflo Symphony e3 LX Platinum Series is a car seat from the famous American manufacturer for children weighing from 2.3 to 49.8 kg (height from 48 to 145 cm), which corresponds to the age from birth to about 12 years. A feature of the model is the ability to use up to the maximum weight of a teenager - 50 kg. The chair is equipped with a cast steel frame made of SafeGuard steel, as well as the original SafeArmour internal belt fastening system, which evenly distributes the load on the body and head. The three-layer headrest filler effectively absorbs the energy of side impacts. Patented material Outlast - a special fabric that regulates the temperature of the child''s body in hot or cold weather. The SafeZone headrest is made up of 4 compressive layers of padding (Styrofoam, Open Cell Styrofoam, EVA and Foam) that greatly reduce the impact of impacts. The car seat has extended side protection with the unique e3 (energy cube) safety technology. A feature of the car seat is fastening with regular car belts or with the help of the isofix mechanical system - QuickConnector. The seat is approved for air travel and has been rollover tested in the US.

The purchase is a failure, very unhappy.

Specifically, the Evenflo Symphony e3 LX Platinum Series uses the so-called QuickConnector mount, the photo of which is not in the reviews and descriptions. Or rather, even on the official website: the photo describing the QuickConnector is not true. In fact, this is the most miserable, Chinese carbine that you can only imagine (see photo). Moreover, the belt on which the carabiners are installed is threaded into the hole in the back and has free play, and is tightened manually (buckle)…

Pros
  • Perfect sleeping position. Jumper on five point belts, which allows you to fully fix the child with them. As a shock-absorbing layer, not foam. At first glance, the quality of the fabric is good.
Cons
  • The description on the site and in the reviews has nothing to do with the current state of affairs. There are no pockets for lock elements. Including on the DLX series. The chair is made in China, not the USA. The mount is so miserable that when I saw it I immediately decided to hand over the chair back. Perhaps, according to tests, it can withstand 55 kg, but in reality a child over 35 kg will not fit in it.

The ratio of price and quality is very pleasing, I will repeat the purchase.

We liked the chair, the child is comfortable in it even in winter in overalls. Husband easily installed the chair in the car. Everything is clear from the instructions. Clings with carabiners (latch). One of the most reliable mounts, since there are no automatics, semi-automatics, solid mechanics. Perhaps not the most convenient, but certainly the most reliable. This carabiner will not break and the chair will not fly away in the event of a severe accident. Regular isofix breaks under load…
