Ordered 2 Cardone axles for both sides on my '96 Honda Civic DX. I did a lot of searching for decent non-Chinese branded axles and came across these bad guys. Pep Boys offered them at ridiculously high prices. As soon as I received both parts I immediately got to work and spent 4 hours in the driveway on a cold night. I would recommend them to anyone looking for good quality new trucks at a great price!

I bought this axle and the other side (66-4060) from the same manufacturer. They fit perfectly on a 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback DX. Very strong and heavy axle, identical to the one on the car. The joints move smoothly and with little resistance as the joints are as stiff as you would expect. The boots were mounted neatly, no grease marks around the joints. The wedges aligned, and the axle stood up immediately after a strong impact. I am very happy with these axes.

I chose Cardone Selects (both driver and passenger) for my 1996 Civic EX and was blown away by the quality. My local parts store only had rebuilt CV axles for about $50, but I could get brand new ones for $10 more. I just don't like the idea of remanufactured auto parts when it comes to fit and quality. Hello, Passenger axle fitted, ridden a few days, works great. Four stars because I don't have longevity. Great price, turned up in the morning on day 2, was able to install in the afternoon. It took a total of less than 2 hours to clean up Jack. First hang up was unscrewing the axle nut, it took some time, some small screwdrivers etc to bend. I used a Harbor Freight electric impact wrench to unscrew the axle nut, a 32mm head I believe. If you're using a regular brake switch on a manual…
