A nice, durable and beautiful military style webbing belt made from quality materials in a standard adult width. The hardware works as expected. This is my second Thomas Bates belt that I have bought this year. Like the first, it is of the highest quality. I'm baffled by the negative reviews I'm seeing posted by some others and can't figure out the basis for this. I would highly recommend these belts and have absolutely no connection with this seller other than as a satisfied customer.

As the title suggests, there are sharp parts of the locking mechanism on the buckle. If you sit down or bend down, they can (and do) dig into the flesh. It's not convenient. It would have been easy to archive them during production and I'm not sure why they didn't. I bought it because it was made in the USA. But now I'm wondering if this refers to the buckle or just the fabric of the belt.

I wanted a cheap belt that was more casual than a leather belt. This web belt and brass buckle are just right. My waist is about 34 inches and the belt is too long so I trim it by undoing the buckle and cutting the end without the metal tab. Then reattach the buckle to the end you just cut. You don't want to cut off the metal tongue end!

Without giving meaning to the fact that I bought this belt because my others no longer fit, this belt is more than I hoped for. Not only is it made from durable materials, it easily and instantly adjusts to how tight (or loose) I want the belt to be at the time of my choice of pants, PLUS it brought back totally fond memories of the belt I inherited got (and has since lost) from my father over 40 years ago. He was a life prisoner in the US Air Force and presented me with the exact same belt…
