Very comfortable and warm

The coldest temp I tested was 23F and they worked amazingly well. I haven't tested them in the rain so I can't say if they are waterproof.

Castle X Epic-G1 men's gloves

Castle X Epic-G1 men's snowmobile gloves fit perfectly. Well made and very warm. No problem with all-day use. My hands were dry and warm.

Pros

Fingers get cold easily

Worn once while snow tubing and twice while riding my SXS. Comfortable but my fingers were cold every time. Imagine my surprise when I went to the phone in 30 degrees and my fingers got cold almost immediately. Used thick liners in the gloves on the first run. It was about 15 degrees. Good for the first 30 minutes, then I had to use chemical glove warmers and stretch all fingers into palm area to keep fingers from freezing off. The palms were fine, as were the cuffs. Maybe a bad set, maybe not.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Insulation mass confusion

The Epic glove just arrived today. I haven't had a chance to wear them yet. They look great with big long cuffs that I can wear over my jacket sleeve. Slightly lighter and thinner than I expected. It's 35 degrees here now and this morning it was 19. I'll use them every day during the cold season when I ride my motorbike to work. The description of the gloves states that they have 200 grams of Thinsulate on the upper arm and 150 grams on the palm. But the 3M tag that came with them says theyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Elegant design

  • There are nuances
