Description of Celestron Black Regal Premium 82052 Tripod

Perfect support for a spotting scope, binocular, camera, or small telescope. Sturdy aluminum tripod adjusts in height from just over 18 inches to nearly 69 inches and includes a two-way fluid pan head with quick release plate that doubles as a balance rail. The four-section legs can be set to three different angles and use quick and easy flip lever locks for length adjustment. The center column can be extended when additional height is needed. A retractable balance hook lets you add weight if extra stability is required. Tripod case and shoulder strap included.

Too light a strain for Celestron C90 scope

I bought a Celestron 82050 TrailSeeker tripod to use with the scope but I don't think they work well together. PROS: This tripod looks well made and can be used very well with a camera or other light object. The legs offered plenty of adjustment options and seemed to hold up securely once adjusted. CONS: This tripod just wasn't strong enough for use with the Celestron 52268 C90 spotting scope. The node even moved on the concrete floor, even with modest touches when adjusting the sights. When…

IMO, that's too small for a larger area. One reviewer wrote that he almost dropped his binoculars, which is true. Here are Regal's advantages over Trailseeker. 1) It's almost 2 pounds heavier, much stronger and more stable. 2) You can independently lock panning in each direction, so you can, for example…

Great tripod, very stable with my Celestron Regal 100.

Just arrived today (on time) I unpacked and assembled it (had to attach the pan tilt handle). glove and not sure if I even need a 100 ED balance rail. The fit and finish is excellent, the adjustments are excellent, and the tray and fluid tilt are extremely smooth and highly adjustable. The only downside is that it's a bit heavy, but so is the Regal 100 ED. The tripod and spotter together weigh just under 11 pounds, or about the same as a full-range rifle. A comparable carbon fiber tripod kit…
