Pleasing to the eye!

I've always wanted a really good plate of butter when I don't want to leave butter on the counter. I never thought I would be amazed by a butter dish haha. But very pleasing to the eye. My roommate had a prison type metal oiler and my family was full of interior designers and I was like no honey this isn't gonna happen lol. I was embarrassed breaking her plate of butter but just didn't want to stay haha. I definitely recommend this beauty, I am proud to see her every day. It's so dumb to be…

Really wanted to love BUT

I could easily put my oil in a plastic bowl with a lid, but I wanted something cute to store my oil in. Buying this was just to have something good in my kitchen. It's really not what I expected, the lid is very cumbersome and doesn't close properly - it's big and bulky and takes up a lot of space in the fridge and mine arrived damaged due to the box lid not sealing properly. I replaced another sealed oiler with this one

I have always used this oiler. Deep, with a lid. I never keep butter in the fridge after unwrapping the stick. There is no need as I pass the stick fairly quickly. But this is a beautiful dish. I DO NOT USE AN EXPANDER as that would mean it would have to be cleaned before putting it back into the slot. This is only a nuisance if you can put an ordinary table knife in the dishwasher.
