When I saw the picture I thought it was ceramic but it's really cool that it's melamine. I put it on a plate rack so if it falls down for some reason it won't break. I think the texture on the bowl and the high gloss make it look like ceramic and the colors match the picture. Excellent purchase.

Bought three of these differently shaped plates to serve snacks and meals at work. They seem very thick and durable. The color is true as shown on my monitor. Doesn't look like ceramic, but it's still quite nice and holds up well. The plastic wrap will stick to the edges if you need to wrap the tray to carry things. Not cheap but I hope they last.

I can't think of anything I don't like about these beautiful trays, bowls and dishes! They're all so well done you might think they're Chinese! It's definitely not cheap plastic! The colors are vibrant and the various trays and bowls look fantastic paired with the plates and bowls on our banquet table! EVERYONE wants to know where I got them from. Nothing but great compliments!
