Replaced the pivot on my bar stool which was so worn it was rocking from side to side. Ordered parts on Thursday. Received it on Saturday and replaced it in about 30 or 40 minutes. The stool is over 50 years old but in good condition. The part was exactly the same size as the old swivel, only I had to drill new holes for the screws as they didn't quite fit. Very easy

This worked perfectly for my old bar stool I bought on Craigslist. The panels were 6 3/4 wide with 5.5 inch centers. I installed it in no time, weigh 200 pounds, and am spinning around in chairs like a kid again. Make sure the front of the chair is facing the front of the chair, which is clearly marked on the front of the panel.

Good solid hinge and angle so the front has a slight tilt that many people might not realize is an added feature which is a big plus. Most manufacturers only fit so many bearings when you buy their stools and they will wear out after a few years, but these replacement parts have bearings all around and will likely last a lot longer than a stool or bar stool.

, I have two 40 year old bar stools that I wanted to keep using and I have replaced the swivel joints with these new ones. They were easy to install with the simple instructions and socket wrench provided. The stools should last for many more years. I can't comment on the durability of these swivels as they have only been used for a very short time, but they seem to last at least as long as the originals which have been in use for over 40 years!
