Champagne Opener Black Gift Box Review

Ideal for removing plastic corks from champagne bottles. Really saved my hands. But it broke within a month. The socket for the handles fell out. So disappointed. But maybe try something else.

The older I get, the harder it is to remove champagne corks. I've had one of these champagne openers for years and use it quite often. It easily opens plastic or cork stoppers. I just bought more of these for gifts and everyone loves them. If you are a champagne lover, you need this tool.

I would like to give a better rating because the design seemed good to me. In practice, I've found that this only works well with simpler connectors. And even then I didn't feel like I was in good control. I think the problem is that the plastic is too flexible. And the mechanical advantage isn't big enough for stronger connectors. I squeezed a bottle so hard that the top and bottom handles touched, but the cork didn't budge. And yes, I twisted the plug first to break part of the seal.
