🔥 Exquisite Charcoal Incense Burner: Gold-Toned Brass Hanging Censer with Chain Review

The chain was not attached when I received it. Whenever I light incense and put the lid on, the incense goes out, so I figure the holes aren't big enough to let in enough air to keep it burning. Or maybe it's just me idk. It's really pretty and the bowl and lid are strong and thick.

Tracks are the only real reason to even consider this and no other Cadilla. And those chains aren't great, as they're all attached at the top with a cheap little metal ring (think car keys, but you'll have to get the weak one back in shape). So yes, the chains are flimsy and don't really allow for safe long-term hanging.

The Censer itself is well made; Ideal for small liturgical or home use. The jump rings that connect the bottom to the hanging chains are of very poor quality, as are the chains themselves, so I recommend planning for replacements before using this item. That being said I think this censer was a good buy and would be perfect for use in our small monastic community.

My husband talked about wanting to be held accountable for our trip to Italy where we bought incense sticks. I made a mental note and started looking for one as a Valentine's Day gift. He loves to. Just a word of caution to reiterate what others have said here. The chain that came with the product is thin and torn in the box. This was easily remedied by purchasing a stronger, larger chain from a local hobby store. Also, the unit may not be very suitable for smoking with charcoal as I find the openings are not large enough and the ventilation is not sufficient to keep the charcoal burning for very long. The top (lid) of this product has a larger diameter than the base. This will prevent the lid from closing properly. The outside diameter of the lid gasket lip is larger than the inside diameter of the top of the base on which the lid is intended to sit. The lid is not properly attached to the base.
