These shrimp croutons are hard, but after 13 months they look like the picture. Stainless steel? Hardly. And they smell like iron or some metal. Undoubtedly, they impart insignificant particles to any food. They're deserted, and I'll go back to looking for stainless steel. My advice? Do not buy.

This is nowhere near as durable or high quality as I remember from this old style nutcracker. The picks are too thin, I mean the diameter is too small, and with a rough rough not sharp smooth pointed end it twists in the hand. The cracker itself is very light. I think buy this if you can't find a really good set.

Nut clickers and lockpicks work great. My only complaint and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that one of the sealed packs of a set has clearly been tampered with. Nothing is missing, but the package hasn't even been rewritten. So when I opened the shipping box, the Nutcracker was in the package, but all the picks had fallen out and were dangling in the box.

Not what is advertised. They are advertised as stainless steel. We used them with crab legs the other day and left them in the sink so I could hand wash them. They lay on a plate of water and after about 3 hours washing the dishes I saw that they were starting to rust! For this little time! Very disappointing! Still usable, but the quality is not what is advertised.

I picked B's pecans and peaches on her trip south. Walnut cake is good. Derby 101 Pie was out of this world! The Nutcracker has been used multiple times, each time cracking enough pecans for four (4) pies. Looks very solid and the price too! 1st review. While this nutcracker isn't a new kitchen gadget, I couldn't find one in Lebanon, Kentucky.

I've been trying to "match" traditional nutcrackers, which are often made of a brittle "white metal" that can bend with use. They look and feel more substantial, although I haven't used them yet. Note that the "cracker" waves are slightly larger in diameter and don't have the same surface design, but are very similar to my initial inspection - actually better.
