🏛️ Churchill Willow Oatmeal Earthenware England Review

I bought a set of six bowls to replace the missing bowls in a set I've been using for 14 years. We've been using the new bowls for a week and two are already broken. Not by her fall or her rough treatment. Two were in the closet and my son reached over to get one and when he picked it up it and the one underneath were missing the rims. They are not long-lived! I am extremely disappointed!

Blue willow is a classic pattern. Churchill's Blue Willow is a richer, darker blue than the Johnson Brothers. Churchill pottery is made in England. It is important to me where my dishes are made. I was surprised to learn that Wedgewood China is now made in Indonesia! Churchill stoneware is beautiful and durable. The only dishes I have that don't chip when washed in the dishwasher.

This Blue Queen Churchill Willow is very pretty, the color is lighter and a little darker than my regular Churchill Willow. The glaze is thicker so it shines. The only difference, which I consider a downside, is the underside where the shell was resting on something in the kiln during firing. With all 6 shells, the 4 support points on the underside of the shell can be seen and felt. I didn't feel these marks on my original set and had to look closely to see the marks. They complement my…
