I have been using Clairol Root Touch-Up regularly for many years. Not currently available from Revain, I tried this new product. It was pretty easy to use, no mixing required. According to the instructions, I left it on for 10+ minutes, washed it off, applied some conditioner and saw the result. I was surprised to see the still gray roots I started with. It should be dark blonde. She was a redhead, not even a redhead, but a teenager going to high school with red highlights in her hair. I was shocked by the color. Blonde can be yellow, golden, beige, brown, ashen, but not red. Oh, except strawberry blonde, but that's a whole different color.

This purchase was a waste of money. It turned my hair pink. I was shocked that the Clairol product was of such poor quality. Unfortunately, I'm sure I can't get a refund for this type of personal product that can't be returned. I have another Clairol root powder product and was under the impression that it might be of the same standard. I am not a happy customer.

Other reviews were correct, this product does not work. My usual stylist left because of Covid so I just wanted a bit of inconsistent root coverage for this weekend's event and it's not. I have very little gray hair but it's all around my hairline so clearly visible and it didn't cover any of it. At this stage it is better to use a root touch-up pen or spray.

I'm surprised to see the negative reviews because it covers my gray temples and hair perfectly and also blends in with my darker roots. I use medium blonde for Clairol Root Spray and I used blonde (not dark blonde). Try washing it off first. I dried my hair and repeated applying the product with a brush on the applicator and let it sit for 15 minutes. Ideal. Shampooed twice and still perfect. I will continue to use this after the salons reopen to prolong the color.

Doesn't work. Colors don't stay. Washed out after one wash. I have dark brown hair with some grey. It was very easy to use but I washed my hair every other day and it looked like it was all washed out. I tried again but left it for 20 minutes instead of 10. Also, this time I waited two days to wash it. I still see a few gray hairs. Not satisfied with the results. It's a shame because it's so easy
