The set up and sewing on this loom is amazing. The product is durable and precise. Where the loom falls short (and this is a very big disadvantage) is in the finishing of the product. To make a bracelet on any loom, I have to either turn the warp threads back or weave them together at the end, creating a slip knot. I've tried the jewel loom, it's not bad, but it's wobbly and unsafe; a Beadalon loom suitable for size 8/0 but very weak, Rick's loom too difficult to set up and use; and even a $235 Mirrix loom, which I sent back because it was too much work. I have several machines and this was the third in my line of experimental machines. I removed it after a few frustrating attempts but eventually read the instructions and got the hang of it. I didn't find it cheaply made or redesigned. I actually like the little pins that fit on each side of the steps to hold them in place.
