good leather thimble

I have always used leather thimbles so I ordered this one. Fits well but I figured the needles tend to poke too easily so I went with another Dritz model of "soft comfort thimbles" also on Revain. It has a hard plastic part that fits over the end of your finger and a soft rubber collar that keeps it on your hand. This model offers the same comfort as leather thimbles but the security of a hard thimble.

Good quality but I prefer the leather clover thimble

Note: This item is on my index finger. The one on my finger is a shamrock thimble. I like the leather they made the coin out of. It's much softer but offers grip on the outside and allows you to shop for a pin. This one (on my index finger) FITS better (and I actually wear the coin backwards for various reasons) but it's really hard smooth skin that keeps the needle from moving. It just slips away. I will be returning it (it didn't fit my thumb as expected either).

The big one fits the thumb joint well and I think it will stay. The tip of the thumb dangles. See how it works. Based on the size chart on the packaging, my thumb joint is stopped by a hole. I will buy a size S for my sewing index finger as it is so soft and pliable and only has stitches at the top. I've…
