Nice tight seal but you can't light matches from the side. I had to cut the sandpaper from the box and leave it inside. Good for carrying matches and looks cool but that's it, not for hiking.

the first one I got was locked, Revane came and sent another one and pointed me to the company too. The matchbox is ok, but I had one very thin back in the 70s, must have been from the USA, was pure brass. This company makes better plastic

This product may not function as advertised. Although the match hold function is quite simple, there is no way you can light a match in the area designated for lighting a match. At best, he rips the head off the match. To make matters worse, it's not even refundable, so now I'm stuck with a useless piece of metal. So disappointing.

What can you say? This is a replica of Marble's old match safe, patented in 1900. 120 years have passed and nobody has improved the design. If you don't lose them, they will survive multiple owners. If you're out in the great outdoors (and they haven't sold out yet), grab two or three of these. Too bad they were discontinued.

A simple matchbox item. The product doesn't look very high quality. It's light and doesn't seem to be very durable. I see it breaks easily. Since it is rarely used in my case, I'm sure everything will be fine. It was a bit tricky to open the first time, but good once you get the hang of it.
