Rescuer! - Camping and Hiking

later If you don't know how to make a fire like I do, this will be your salvation at the campsite, so you're not the kind of person who blows and blows a fan on a fire pit like a mad dragon. For a bundle of firewood I'll break one of these guys in half, jeng around him and bam! Instant Fire! You'll look like a pro (though secretly you know you're bad at starting a fire)

Great lighters!

These little lighters are my favorites, they burn for about 30 seconds before igniting, but don't often go out once started. I only buy them if they cost $2.50 not whatever the current price is. That makes them a quarter each, which isn't bad. I also tend to use 2 to make a good fire. They can be broken in half for small fire sets or used as a substitute for thick wood.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Sad Hardware

Not bad if there wasn't a problem.

Doesn't shine. I'm exaggerating a bit, but there's definitely a problem with this lighting in the wind with standard match lighting. Due to the constant wind, I usually needed about 10 matches for each fire. It takes a little while for a fire to start, and that's the time when the wind (or rain, I think) doesn't put out the matches. Once lit they work well. I would buy them again.

Where have you been for the past five years?

We've been camping every year for five years and I've been looking for the best fire starter all along. That's all! We followed the directions and our fires lit up with no problem. You only need one stick, so one pack will last a while. So easy to pack for camping. No more fiddling with grill liquid or alcohol gels. No spills to worry about. You work better and with less clutter and space. At a good price.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Problems happen

Easy and quick for camping and hiking

This is amazing! I figured given the size that I would need at least a couple of thick wooden sticks to start a fire in my fire pit, but I decided to try without first and the fire was blazing and roaring within minutes. They take a few seconds to ignite and deal massive damage at their modest size! You simply break one in half, place the pieces under the firewood in a few strategic places, and you'll quickly have a good fire. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Skip Tinder completely

Skip Tinder completely. If you think I'm talking about a dating app, buy some kind of chemical fire starter because it probably isn't for you. But if you want to skip the process of collecting tiny sticks, pine needles, and birch bark, this is for you. Only wet chopsticks are slightly larger in diameter than your thumb. Preferred by the Eagle Scout.

Works exactly as promised

These little sticks are incredibly dense! They are also waterproof/durable. One is enough to start a fire on a dry night. Used twice after a rainy day and the fire stick has not been affected by moisture or wetness. Of course I drained the water from the fire pit first, but the fire was good and burned even though the ashes from the previous cremation were soaked and left at the bottom of the pit. I should also mention that I use large kindling pieces to start the fire since I don't have a hand

Pros
  • Camp Kitchen
Cons
  • Defects

I love these fire sticks

I spend about 45 days each summer camping and I don't get enough of them (well, now I can). I've been using them for several decades and they are the best fire starters I've found. They always ignite quickly and ensure a good strong flame even on difficult fires. I never worry about starting a fire when I have this in my backpack. I used to have a lot of trouble finding them. They were sometimes available from Target, but I often found them out of stock and had to settle for a lower qualityโ€ฆ

Only requires half a stick

Media could not be loaded. I'm not good at starting fires with almost every type of spark I've used, and even with matches or a lighter it can take a few tries before I start a fire. For that reason I see them as a kind of insurance policy that ensures that I can start a fire, keep it going until my wigwam catches fire, and then start the fire if I ever find myself in an emergency. is that you don't have to lug around all the packaging or anything like that. A stick can start multiple fires ifโ€ฆ
