🧭 Coleman Compass with Integrated LED Light, Black/Red Review

Delivered very quickly in excellent condition and at a good price. Very handy, I keep mine in the glove compartment. The LED backlight not only illuminates the compass, but also allows you to read the map in the dark.

Much more than I expected. Frankie, it's HUGE and takes up most of the palm of my hand. So that's even more for my 6 year old who I bought it for. But he loves it. The rubber on the light button came loose on the first day, but I was able to glue it back on (luckily without gluing the switch together!)

cheap and points to magnetic north. That's all I was really looking for. The reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 is because there has been some separation in the seam between the face and back since the day I received it. It still works, but it's probably a good drop from breaking. But for what I paid I'm not complaining.

This compass doesn't work at all. The arrow moves but points north, although I'm sure it's not due north. I even took out the batteries thinking they would interfere with the needle but the compass is still sporadic. I think you get what you pay for. I assumed a compass is a compass, it's a compass; that it works, no matter how easy it is made.

This item is very sporadic and I never know when it will give me the right value. I've used it many times when I knew where all the directions were and I needed to tweak it to get it right. I just don't trust it and wouldn't take it with me if I needed a compass. I'm not sure how the manufacturer managed to get permission to be called a compass. rubbish in my opinion.

This compass works pretty well for the price. He didn't have a lot of instructions but we sorted it out. The little LED lightbulb was a brilliant idea. The compass seems a bit flimsy (plastic) but it works (not too sure about its durability). But we didn't get lost. That's it. But we just had an elephant whistle with us and didn't see any elephants.

I ordered two of these Coleman compasses because the description said the dial would be illuminated with LED light. We do night hikes so this was a must. However, the LED display is mounted on the outside of the compass and acts like a small flashlight. And this is only a very small amount of light falling on part of the compass, which is not enough to read the compass. at night.
