Good Quality Fir

We ordered a large tulle which usually runs true to size but ended up replacing it with a very large tulle to make it comfortable enough to wear over other clothes. It was the perfect match. I can't say how well it will wear yet, but it's a good combination of softness and warmth on the inside and rain protection on the outside. There are no interior pockets, but the exterior zippered pockets are roomy.

Pros
  • DETACHABLE HOOD: This highly functional wet weather coat features a rain cover and an adjustable storm hood to keep your head warm and dry in the face of the tide.
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Great jackets for western Washington.

I live in western Washington and you actually need 3 different raincoats depending on the temperature. I bought this coat as a "midweight" coat and it's perfect for rainy days with 40-55 degrees. I'm 6ft 1in and 245 and the coat fits as expected. If I had to order it again I would choose XL instead of 2XL as it's a bit big, but it's more up to me than the product. I'm on the border between sizes and tend to be big rather than small, but XL would fit me perfectly.

Pros
  • Available in larger size.
Cons
  • Some bugs

Impressive Warmth: Insulation

A bit big so if you need a tight fit I would go down one size. However, this is negligible as you usually wear over other layers. I chose a large one, but put it on over another fitted jacket. Overall, it offers excellent wind and rain protection. I wouldn't use it as a single layer over say a t-shirt when the temperature is below freezing as you can still get cold. Other than that, I was outside as a 3rd shift in my 20's and didn't feel cold at all. The hood is really warm and comfortable…

Pros
  • SHERPA COMFORT LINED: The lining of this raincoat is lined with our soft synthetic wool for a layer of cozy warmth.
Cons
  • skinny

High quality materials, pretty good zipper, feels good except on the sleeves

Update February 13, 2020: It has rained a lot since the purchase and this raincoat has proven to be warm and waterproof. My previous comment on poor zipper performance was premature as there were no issues with the front zipper. I really like this raincoat compared to the umbrella alternative. This is a quality raincoat so I've upped the star rating to five stars. I'll have to wait and see how the waterproofing develops as it hasn't rained yet, but as always I'm happy with Columbia outerwear in

Less than marked

I am a tall male, 6ft 3in and weigh 350 pounds. I already have a 3XT Columbia windbreaker that I love. I wanted something warmer for the winter so I ordered this jacket. What the hell happened to your size? The jacket I ordered says 3XT and yet it's so damn tight I can barely close it and feel like I might rip it off if I tense my shoulders too much. Same brand, same size, yet too small. For comparison, I put on this new coat and then a Columbia 3XT windbreaker over this jacket. The windbreaker

Pros
  • WATERPROOF SHELL: Made from 100% Hydroplus nylon taffeta, this men's waterproof jacket is lightweight yet protective. It's the perfect layered garment and also the perfect first layer of protection against the rain.

Great waterproof jacket for the off-season

I bought this jacket for the off-season. The seasons when it's too cold for a simple raincoat but too warm for a winter coat. This jacket has it all: waterproof, large hood and cozy fleece lining. The solid construction and adjustability I've come to expect from Columbia is there. Two large zip pockets, no chest pockets, no inside pockets. It has warmed me up and dried me out during several heavy downpours. I'm 6'2", 240 lbs; XL Tall sits comfortably on me. I wish the jacket had an extra small…

Pros
  • COMFORTABLE FEATURES: This waterproof jacket has two zippered side pockets, adjustable cuffs and an elasticated hem for total protection from wind and moisture.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Good, but. for men

01/16/2021 Revision B: Fairly good, but there are some minor issues. the main shell of the jacket when walking. 2) The material makes crunching noises when moving. 3) The zipper gets caught on the outside of the jacket when you try to close it. 4) The zipper should be black (its matte dark chrome color). 5) There should be more pockets. 6) Existing pockets should sit higher so that the hands lie better in the pockets. 7) There is a standard white "Columbia". Product label on front - luckily you
