and I LOVE this coat

I'm from Texas (not a cold person) and I LOVE this coat! I went hiking in the Tetons of Wyoming for 1 week (wet, snow, rain, sometimes dry) and this coat kept me warm and dry. I'm a short person (5ft 3in, weight 118lbs) and bought a medium size. I'm glad I had a bit more room when I layered the coat on 2-3 more layers. This coat will be great when our family takes another trip to Alaska or Colorado.

absolutely worth the money, wish i could give 6 stars.

Warm ASF, it has a great mesh pocket inside perfect for my phone or keys. even better, it has a zip pocket on the other side that also fits my phone perfectly. I'm quite petite at 5ft 1in and 110lbs and the average height fits me pretty well. it's literally like a warm hug. I don't ski or anything but gosh I love this thing. The inner sleeves with thumb holes are very comfortable when I go to work and my hand gets cold from holding a cup of coffee. He has a good hood that stays. I know it will…

Warm, beautiful jacket

I like this jacket best. I like that the sleeves are long enough for me - a lot of women's clothing doesn't have long enough sleeves. I like that the fur trim and the hood are removable. Heat is wonderful, especially because of its (lack of) volume and weight. The only thing that bothered me were the armpits. They fit a little even when I'm standing, but when I ride in them the underarm seams feel like they're pressing against my armpits. I think that's the length of this jacket. It's not…

Nice warm high quality coat

Very happy with this coat. I ordered a medium size based on a large Columbia Glam-Her down coat I bought 2 years ago which is now too big. The setting turned out to be a little more appropriate than I expected, but that doesn't bother me. For reference, I'm 5'4, 145 lbs. I usually wear a long sleeve shirt and sometimes a fleece vest under my coat and it keeps me warm even in the cold and snow (it's 9 degrees Fahrenheit outside today with temperatures below 0 degrees). cold wind in Indiana)…

warm warm! fits Down & Down alternative

So warm! I almost bought this coat a few years ago and went for one of the trade-in options, instead I thought it would be nice to have options on how to wear the coat. I hate getting the liner in and out, and it's actually only warm enough for a serious winter when the two are together. Where I live, temperatures in the single digits and sub-zero temperatures are not uncommon. I finally settled on the coat I really wanted and I love it. It's not below freezing where I live, but I can wear it…

Incredibly warm and feminine

I love this jacket! Incredibly warm even on days with temperatures in the single digits. I live in Minnesota, where winters are very cold, often with well below zero winds. Underneath was only a very thin sweater. I love thumb holes! Whoever came up with this idea is a genus! My hands and wrists were always cold because it felt like the cuffs could either ride up or cold air could get in no matter how hard I pulled the velcro on the cuffs. I have long arms and "sleeves" with thumb holes are…

Possible Fake or Factory Defect

I am very upset that this is a potential fake or made for a factory coat. I ordered the XL in Groovy Pink. One star for the color as pictured except the piping around the outside pockets is a faint red which isn't pretty. I already have this coat in white and black sea salt. The fabric of these coats has a silkier feel, which I think is due to the water-repellent technology. It's also about 1 inch shorter and a bit squarer. The one I just received is much thinner. I wonder if it's even filled…

Love the coat, fits "my Columbia size "

As the fit seems to be the most commented aspect of this jacket, I'll start with this one. I spent a lot of time reading reviews here and on Columbia's website to find out the sizing. According to Columbia, "The sizing runs a bit small," and people here and there have reported mixed comments about the sizing, mostly tending towards the jacket running small. Well the jacket arrived today and I'm glad I'm the size I usually wear in Columbia tops. I usually go with Wednesday. I can fit in small…
