Thinner fabric than previous generation / shirt loses shape

This new version of the Silver Ridge shirt is made from a thinner fabric that won't last as long as the previous generation. Shirts quickly lose their shape due to the thin fabric. This generation is also slightly shorter.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not the best

Not genuine Colombia

Do not buy this shirt. I'm 5ft 6", 175 and wear an oversized shirt from every other product including Columbia I own at least 6 of these stylized fisherman shirts. allow a return Stay Away FYI I had to give one star because it didn't allow declining stars.

Pros
  • Very good price

Shirt that makes you throw out other shirts

Bought without first owning Columbia. I ticked all the boxes for me: Good for hiking but can also be worn to work etc. I like the fabric: light but durable. I wear plus sizes in menswear and it was absolutely perfect: not loose or boxy, but not too tight in the middle either. Sometimes when you get something in the mail it doesn't work. That's not it.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • threadbare

Do your research first!: Active

These shirts are very comfortable and look sharp (short-term sharp). After a machine wash and an 8 hour day of wear, they turn to crap (minimal physical activity). They must be marked as hand wash and may only be hung to dry. They are not durable at all. If you like wrinkled shirts due to poor stitching and materials, this purchase is for you. I really like how they look when new and how comfortable they are. I am so unsatisfied with the quality.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Unreliable

Too warm in Active for me

I bought this based on other reviews that said the material was lighter than previous versions. It seemed to be mine. Seams/panels have been added to the sleeves and the material is tighter where possible for synthetics. When I went for a walk in 92 degree weather (in the Rkey Mountain wilderness) and felt very warm, I could swear my underarms were sweaty. This is the second Columbia shirt I've ordered this year, designed for warm/hot weather. Well I didn't think so. Next time I'll try a linen…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Has flaws

I think I've received fake Columbia shirts

A few months ago I bought one of those Revain Columbia shirts in L and if they fit like a glove. I liked it so much that I decided to order two more (black and red). Unfortunately, the two new colors are completely different shirts; the material seems to be different and L is at least one size smaller. I should have tried them a while ago but assumed they were the same as the first one I bought. nope That sucks. I wish I could send them back. This is one of my biggest fears when buying from…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • boring packaging

Non-original Columbia shirts

The shirt was not a genuine Columbia shirt. It was a fake with Columbia tags ironed and sewn on. Plain buttons, true Columbia shirts have the word Columbia engraved on each button, but this shirt doesn't have that. Not only were the buttons ordinary, but they looked like they had been sewn on by a two-year-old. All genuine Columbia shirts like this have the Omni Shade logo on the left sleeve which wasn't there. I have several of these shirts, the material is soft and doesn't wrinkle, this shirt

Pros
  • Very impressive

This shirt was different from Columbia's other shirts.

I love Columbia products - I hate the way they think they have to get political. Either way, this shirt sucks. I am 6' 175lbs fit. It fit me like Chris Farley trying to put on a David Spade blazer. Okay, that was a huge exaggeration, but man, I bought a medium size, like most of my shirts, and Columbia gives me either Med or Small because their products are that big. run, but the thing looked stupid. I can only imagine that my shirt was mislabeled. It must have been really small. If yes, fine…

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
