🧥 Columbia Horizon Ride Jacket for Girls Review

The size chart on this site was a bit strange to understand. I ordered Big Kid Small and expected 5/6 and got 7/8. So it's coming back and I order XS and XXS to see which fits my 4 year old. Really nice jacket, not too bulky but feels like it will be very warm.

Seems to be a good warm winter jacket. The time will show. My children have always worn Columbia winter coats and we have never been disappointed. I got XL for my 11 year old medium sized kid. She is about 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. The big one would probably fit too, but this size was cheaper :) couldn't be cheaper than this price!

Bought 2 children's coats. Both had zippers constantly getting stuck until they broke (within 6 socks). This prompted me to take a closer look: the Columbia logo isn't embroidered or on the sleeve. I doubt these are real Colombian coats. After 6 wears, both coats were thrown away. Buyer Warning.

This is exactly what our daughter was looking for - a light winter jacket that can also be worn with fleece underneath. It's ok for going to school, snowball fights here and there etc. but I wouldn't recommend it for skiing or snowboarding. For long walks outdoors in cold weather, you need something more expensive. The zipper seems a bit flimsy but no issues with it so far.

This coat is great! The daughter says it's warm and cosy, although we haven't had sub-zero temperatures this winter. Good thing it should be waterproof too! Our previous coat from another well-known brand was lined with fleece, but it got her long, textured hair so tangled that I decided to buy her this coat for Christmas. No knots yet! Saves us 30 minutes of detangling hair every day!
