Columbia Toddler Switchback Jacket Nocturnal Review

My daughter is obsessed with going out! Jumping through the puddles, especially when it's raining. Just keep in mind that this jacket has no lining on the inside, so you still need a hoodie or long sleeve shirt underneath!

This jacket fits perfectly. My daughter is 3ft 2.5 and wears a 3T. It's very light and I think it's perfect for this California weather. You can wear a sweater underneath for warmth. Definitely the perfect wind jacket for spring.

Wanted a lightweight spring hooded jacket for my 2 year old and it was perfect. I can line with fleece when it's cold and that can still help with some wind/water protection if needed. Also very cute! ***My daughter wears 3T in clothes, I took size 3T and her jacket fits great, some room to grow but not too big at all!

My daughter loves this raincoat. It fits her well and perfectly protects against rain. The color is very cute (not too pink, more of a nice coral color) and she loves that it goes well with her rubber boots. We sized her to wear it for more than one season. The quality I expect from Columbia is that the zipper is strong and washes well.

Great, except the hand pockets don't have zips, they're just open. My daughter still earned it in heavy rain but I wonder if water could get into the mesh pockets and then wet her shirt. The material is also a little flimsy, not sure if it's durable. I decided to keep it because I like the fit and style. Hopefully my doubts are that water doesn't get into the pockets and the thinness of the material is just a doubt.

This jacket is very very thin and I was afraid it would be brittle and tear easily but I did not send it back hoping it would be of good quality last. The jacket is still in great shape after a few summer months and I hope to wear it again next summer as it is roomy. This is great for summer rain but not ideal for cooler rainy weather days unless you have a lot of layers under the jacket.
