🌪️ Columbia Women's Switchback III Jacket: A Perfect Blend of Style and Functionality Review

I love this jacket. It's nice and light. There is an adjustable drawstring at the waist. The wrist cuffs are also adjustable. The jacket falls below my hips and covers half of my buttocks. I love how the hood folds into the collar and the jacket zips up over the neck. I bought this jacket in my normal size.

I don't usually write reviews but I was so disappointed with this product I thought I had to. I bought this jacket for a bike ride based on reviews. It rained all first day so of course I put on what I thought would keep me dry. I was soaked in an hour. It was not heavy rain, but continuous rain. Needless to say I will never buy again.

I bought this jacket to wear in a rain forecast half marathon. The jacket definitely saved me from completely drying out after being out in the rain for 3+ hours, but it did its job well and kept me comfortable. I was nervous about the sizing but the jacket fits perfectly! If you plan to wear a sweater I would recommend going up a size. For the record, I'm a little under 5'2" and usually wear a size Large top and 12/14 pants with a 34E bust.

Disappointed with this purchase. I bought this jacket because it was advertised as waterproof. I went for a walk with my dog for about 20 minutes on a rainy day. I didn't notice it during the walk because I was wearing a hoodie under the jacket, but when I got home and took off the jacket, the hoodie got wet and the whole inside of the jacket was wet too. I bought this at the last minute a few days before our trip to Disneyland as I checked the weather and saw it was raining most of the time we were there. . I've seen some reviews saying it's not fully waterproof, but we pooled it and my clothes underneath never got wet. It definitely kept me dry! It's a mesh lining (not fleece). So if it's cold outside I definitely recommend wearing long sleeves underneath if you want to stay warm. My only complaint is that it's difficult to fold the hood back…

For sizing, I have a 36" bust and a 29.5" waist. I bought a small green one in August 2020. I needed a packable sleeve for my hiking bag. Fits perfectly around my waist.
