My son loves to play and explore on safari. I needed something to protect him from the sun that he would want to wear. I was afraid it wouldn't fit, but I bought it anyway. I bought two of these hats for my grandmothers who are two and three years old. The fit of each is a little loose (which doesn't bother me because they grow into them) but they can be pulled up a bit with an elastic drawstring at the back of the panel. The hat includes a chin strap and the ends can be twisted under the child's chin once or twice before attaching the ends with Velcro to keep it securely in place. I bought these for my kids on our vacation in Florida where I wanted them to be always on so they could stand up to the pool, sea and sand.
