My husband is a retired soldier and he said it was the best outdoor hat he's ever had. It protected from the sun and cooled his head.

Two stars deducted because it's much more flexible than I thought (the slightest breeze blows flaps from all sides) and it doesn't breathe as well as I was hoping. Head got pretty hot wearing it. I will probably return it. A good thing is that it is adjustable so it fits my huge head nicely.

Good hat and fits well BUT what they sprayed on it stings your eyes and runs out of your nose. I couldn't get rid of the chemical stench.

The hat is light and the brim does not blow in the wind as expected. The drawcord at the back tightens the fit just enough to secure the hat in the wind.

I love this well ventilated hat with full head protection and it does NOT look silly. It suits me. The adjustable headband offers a comfortable fit, ideal for swimming pools and golf. Well made, good buy.

This hat will definitely keep you warm. I bought it thinking it was breathable so when I go camping I get a breeze or something but no. You have to take off your hat or bring another, which is frustrating because it's so light and easy to pack. I would say this is a good hat if it was more breathable.

I have other hats and caps. This is my new best hat. The ventilation works better than I expected, it's soft. My head is about 7 3/4, it fits. The edge is not hard, flops a little, but otherwise everything is fine.

In general, a very nice hat at an affordable price. The only problem is that to adjust the size you need to fold the back which will be wrinkled. It doesn't affect the comfort or protection of the hat, it just looks a little weird. Overall still worth the price.
