Hi! It works! at Cables & Accessories

Console cable works as advertised. The cable makes a robust and durable impression. Nothing to add other than that the quality doesn't disappoint. The prices are reasonable and it worked for me from day one without any problems. There are several other options from other vendors and I doubt they differ much. Do you have a laptop without a serial port? Get this instead!

Pros
  • Computers & Accessories
Cons
  • Available in black only

But it worked. for computer accessories and peripherals

I need this for windows 7 the instructions say for win 7 you need to go to a specific address listed in the instruction for win 7 drivers. I went to this address and it was nothing but junk ads linking drivers for this particular product only those covering all means of updating junk drivers. I got it working by going into device manager and letting it check for drivers and it worked.

Pros
  • electronics
Cons
  • sundries

Works great but was a bit tricky to install

It's nice not having to carry a USB to serial adapter wherever I go. It took about half an hour to get it working properly on the W10, but that was maybe more than anything. I was hoping for more plug and play, so 4 starts. One thing I missed is the wasted length of the adapter. The station I set up to set up devices was just out of reach compared to the console cable with adapter.

Pros
  • USB cable
Cons
  • fade
