Terrible adapter, avoid at all cost

After trying this product, I was extremely disappointed. It fails to perform as advertised and the connection is unreliable. It's frustrating to use and a complete waste of money. I expected better quality from Industrial and Scientific products.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Unreliable, frustrating to use

Works for IBM Power7 Server

I had to remap the Power7 server without the HMC. This null modem cable along with the serial to USB cable allowed my Windows 10 laptop to work with Putty as a console. Nothing more to say other than that it worked perfectly.

Pros
  • Ultra-thin, low-profile design makes it flexible, eliminates clutter and saves space; has an RJ-45 connector and a 9-pin D-sub DB-9 connector
Cons
  • not sure
