Great lenses Cheap glasses

Lenses 5 stars -1 star for cheap frame, looks like cheap glasses at a gas station. -1 star for not staying upside down. They sit securely on your face, but if you pick them up when you enter a room, they fall off with every vertical movement of your head.

Pros
  • Arc: 130mm
Cons
  • Some flaws

Don't let the price fool you

Because they're not worth 1/5 of what they're asking for. Mirrored plastic lenses that scratch too easily. Maybe they once made a good product. this ship has sailed. the same plastic lens and the same good polarization is available everywhere (WM) for $25.

Pros
  • Handcrafted and guaranteed to last a lifetime. Every Costa sunglass comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Cons
  • Contact seller

Disclaimer Seller promotion and questionable official product

The product was delivered with no visible damage to the packaging. A careful examination of the glasses revealed that one lens had a 1/2 inch tear coming from the top of the frame and the lenses did not have the official "Costa" stickers found when purchased from authorized Costa retailers became. Contacted the seller about the problem. The decision was delayed due to the seller's rhetorical answers, the refund from the seller was made immediately after the complaint.

Pros
  • 580 Costa polycarbonate offers high transparency, impact and scratch resistance and is lightweight so it can be worn all day.
Cons
  • Low repairability

This is my 3rd pair of spears in the last 20 years

This is my 3rd pair of spears in the last 20 years. Let it sink in. These are some of the best frames on the planet. And the lens technology is second to none. Especially the 580G with a mirror finish on the outside. Just don't wear them with Bama Sport Pony, Vineyard Vines Polo and Aftco Fisherman Shorts with Cole Haan Gunnison Driver Moccasins and you'll be fine.

Pros
  • Polarized
Cons
  • Not bad

Sunglasses Fake Costa

Just to let people know this is a fake Costa as there is no C 580 engraved on the lens. However I am giving a 4 star rating because they are very comfortable. I have yet to see if they are polarized but for the price they are very well made. I'm not disappointed. But remember they are fake! UPDATE: I used these in Florida for ocean fishing, uuhh the lenses suck! I had to buy fishing sunglasses from Walmart for $19.99 because the polarized ones are low quality! These Costa fakes are not worth…

Two fingers down! - Accessory

After only having one of these for four months one of the nose pads fell off. Trying to get a replacement was such a pain. Banned forever because their customer service number is not available for purchase on their website. They will not send me a nose pad or let me buy it in the mail. Their new "guarantee" process requires me to send in some photos and proof of purchase and takes 45 minutes. Then I have to go to the post office, stand in line, buy a box and send the glasses back to Kostya…

Pros
  • Costa's bio-based nylon frame is both strong and durable for a comfortable fit.
Cons
  • I can't remember but there was something

Here is great value! in sunglasses

Great pair of Costas at a reduced price. An older model (HR-10) than what you could buy from Bass Pro or something, but considering it's a sunglass, not much has changed from the old frames to this day (I like 10 actually better than 11, but that's a personal preference ) It was a great thing. I also have a couple of blue glass spears that are noticeably heavier than the plastic ones, so keep that in mind. Great all round goggles, great fly fishing goggles, still the nicest pair of Costas on…

Pros
  • 100% polarization eliminates reflected glare and reduces eye strain.
Cons
  • Clarity

Fake/Clone or old design?

At the beginning I accidentally ordered two of these instead of a pair. I was charged $169 for one of them and $188 for the other. They are of the same style (Harpoon HR 11 Blue 580P) but different. The white writing "Harpoon HR 11" on the inside of the right hand has different sizes. The loops are also completely different. One pair (authentic, $188 I believe) has half of the hinge covered where it attaches to the frame and the other half fully exposed. The open-hinged pair trickles when…

Pros
  • resin frame

  • poorly thought out

I was impressed they fit great and don't fall off my nose

I have never owned a pair of Costa del Mars. I was impressed, they fit great and don't slip off your nose. I went fishing with them and had a great view of the water and fish with the 400G lens. I have never regretted this purchase and the price. I studied them for several months before buying them. I haven't seen any difference between 580G and 400G, not that I can tell. I've always been an Oakley person and still support my other pursuits like road biking and golf. Each pair has its own use…

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Faulty
