For $17 I wasn't expecting much. Maybe a plastic sticker that looks like a screen print that will crack and peel over time, but I really wanted this dress so I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it and the pattern is the fabric itself. The material is super soft right out of the bag and gets even softer after washing. My daughter loves this thing! Neat stitching, soft cotton, thin but thick enough not to wrinkle like fabric and not see through. Battenburg style thick gold braid/lace trimming, red cape on back. Doesn't gather as much as a circle skirt, but still wraps up enough. In the picture it looks like the blue with stars is an overskirt over a red base, but what you actually see is a red cape hanging behind the dress; The body of the dress is blue with white stars and a red bodice. Update: I bought 4 of these dresses: Rapunzel, Elana, The Incredibles and Tinkerbell. Rapunzel and Incredibles' dresses may be 100% cotton, but Tinkerbell and Elana's dresses appear to be a blend of cotton and polyester. The quality corresponds to the price.
