This is my favorite budget brow pencil. Of course, there are better eyebrow pencils on the market, but they're not quite affordable for everyday use. It produces a dark brown pigment with a fairly neutral undertone (not too ash gray and not too red). What I like about it is that it doesn't smudge. I like this product and its cheap price. I have messy blonde hair and sparse eyebrows. This pencil fills them in perfectly and naturally. For the reviewers who say the blonde doesn't show up, I think her brows were too dark for that color. As a makeup artist friend, I can tell you that eyebrow pencils should always be a little darker. This product also doesn't do a good job when I get caught in the rain or jump into a lake once or twice. It was never launched but I've been using it for 6 years.

I have tried different brands of brow pencils but these are the worst. They don't apply smoothly at all. They are very hard, rough and require such pressure that it looks like scratching the skin. They have to be sharp to even work, but if you sharpen them too hard the tip will break and leave a small nick in the pen that needs more sharpening before you can get the color back. I really need a light brow pencil and thought I could rely on Covergirl, but I was wrong. This pencil isn't soft, it's hard, and it's almost impossible to line the brow unless I press hard a few times. Forget it altogether if you plan to use it as an eyeliner as it doesn't create any lines at all and the eye area is too delicate to press hard and draw repeatedly. Very disappointed.
