    Lid Won't Close: Kitchen & Dining

    I bought this to hold my regular 12 ounce coffee bag. I really, really wanted to believe the reviews were wrong (I wanted to match the Le Creuset crock pot) and hoped mine would seal properly. nope The lid can be lifted as shown in the picture. Very disappointing given the ridiculous price (yes I know this brand is always expensive). With a brand that prides itself on quality, you'd think they could figure out how to improve the print.

    Beautiful, stackable, space-saving.

    I love these Le Creuset ceramic canisters with a wooden lid. I have a great red one. I bought 2 diameters and 5 full canisters: 3 small 4" diameters stacked on top of each other and 2 different heights of 5.25" diameters stacked to almost the same height as the 4" cans are. So they only take up a 4″ and a 5.25″ countertop and I have 5. I like wood countertops – they seal well and make stacking smoother than if they were ceramic. I live in an arid climate so I haven't had the warping problems…

    The perfect starter canister

    The perfect starter canister! I've just started making my own wild sourdough culture. I add 100g of sourdough to 100g of flour and 100g of water to give you an idea of what's in it. Plenty of room for full blending and beating during maturation. Pretty enough to keep on the counter, great for chilling in the fridge, cleans up easily. My only complaint.     Why it's PERFECT for sourdough

    I used to store my sourdough yeast in a quart jar, but this yeast dries like plaster and is difficult to wash off. The great thing about this pitcher is the straight sides. It's as simple as stirring with a spatula and then cleaning the edges. It's wide enough and deep enough. .Perfect. The yeast on the sourdough gives gas so that the lid pops open when the little guys eat the flour.     Nice when they get it right

    I like these. I bought the largest first. It was perfect so I ordered 3 more different sizes. One, 1 1/2, smashed. I heard the whole glass roll as the UPS driver handed it to me. I took it because I had 3 in the box. The big one was great. Small, the lid didn't fit, was a little crooked and of course the one I mentioned was broken.
