Works as expected with no issues

This USB-C to USB-A adapter supplied by CRUCIAL works perfectly. I use it with the CRUCIAL FileHub Travel Router to connect a 1TB SSD to the FileHub. Works as expected without slowing down data transfer to the SSD. It fits both the USB-C connection cable and the FileHub USB-A port.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Slows down read/write speed

So far I've tried this adapter and a third party adapter and both slowed down the speed by half. If you want to use this for PS5, just use the USB-C connector. Do not buy for PS4, Xbox One or other products that don't have a USB-C port.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • operating speed

This adapter is: Cables and Connections

Doesn't fit the USB-C connector as tightly. Pretty comfortable I would say. Otherwise it is an adapter. Does what it's supposed to do just as stably without it, so I'd say it doesn't affect performance. It came with an important 1TB portable SSD.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

800 Mbit/s electronics

I only have 1 USB-C port on my PC and although I could use that, it would in turn drastically slow down the speed of my other external drive. I was pleasantly surprised that this allowed the x6 drive to run at 800Mbps.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Requires socket

Incompatible! fits USB cable

This Crucial USB-C to USB-A adapter doesn't come with a compatible with standard USB-C cables. Please see the two attached photos to understand the problem.

Pros
  • Connects to Crucial X6 USB-C cable, easy USB-C to USB-A conversion
Cons
  • Doubtful
