Unfortunately, depending on the case type of your iPod or iPhone, you may not be able to use the splitter without removing the case. The shroud around the connector is too thick to fit easily in all housings. Works great if you don't have a case, but I think most users have some sort of case for protection.

This splitter is ideal for use with portable DVD players/music players. The size is right and the color is nice when using white devices with white cables. At this price you can't really complain. One thing to keep in mind, and this applies to all splitters like this, is that it will reduce the output for each headphone and therefore the volume. Keep this in mind if you plan to use a large set of cans that would otherwise require a lot of power to drive.
