I prefer built in lids rather than taking a metal lid, holding it and then shaking out the condiment, or even more troublesome taking the lid off and then taking out the custom made shaker. First off, the bottles are functional but not very well made. The bottles are square and in some ways better than the round ones. The lids are cheaply made and I doubt you can expect them to last. I have had a previous set of heavy duty lids (of the same type) for over 10 years and they are still usable. This is where the bottles end, everything else they boast about is rubbish. I deliberately and carefully chose this over other cheaper metal capped versions. Here are my impressions. The comfort of the black top is really worth the extra money. It's essentially one less step. I'm not a fan of plastic. I'll try to have some of this in my house so I was hoping that the more expensive point would also come with a better build quality but after comparing the side by side to the lidded versions with the metal lid I can say without a doubt that the glass is much thinner…
