The plugs are very nice and light. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are a bit loose and not as tight as I would like. For my application they work very well as the cigarette lighter plug is vertical. Not sure how well they stay in with the cigarette lighter mounted horizontally.

I don't know why the 2017 American Mercedes GLS 450 comes with ashtrays and lighters but I wanted them not to be. I bought a USB slim charger to replace my cigarette lighter but it was still too big to cover the console lid. This plastic lid has a nice low profile and fits perfectly so the lid closes nicely and neatly.

I recently bought a cigarette lighter splitter for my car and the extra sockets didn't have a cover. These fit perfectly. My only complaint is that I wish they didn't have a design at all, but that's just a minor issue. They're made out of very durable rubber, not plastic, and so far I've had no problems with them. They were the cheapest at Revain so that was a big plus.

At first I didn't want the design to have a cross on a cigarette (thought it would be annoying, like someone telling me not to smoke in my own car) - although I don't smoke anymore) - didn't even notice one day - I just had to plug the socket with something when I'm not using the charging cable - it fits - an inexpensive fix for a lost standard plastic plug

When I bought my truck I was surprised that the cigarette lighter was there but it didn't have a cover. And years ago one of my kids put a coin in my car's cigarette lighter and shorted out the radio, so I definitely didn't want that to happen to this car. I got into Revain, found this little GWM nice and cheap and was very happy when it arrived. It fits perfectly, looks great and nothing can get into the lighter.

Although this cover/plug fits (albeit a little loosely) into the dashboard cigar lighter socket, it will not stay in the car's cigar lighter splitter/extension socket. Wrap a few layers of electrical tape around its end. Perhaps a thin o-ring that fits over the plug would also work. Just note that if you plan to use it to connect a spare outlet to a splitter, you may need to "adjust" the plug so it doesn't fall out.
