Not compatible with many Polaris models

Will not fit the 500 Scrambler which leads me to believe many Polaris models are incompatible. It uses a banjo bolt on the master cylinder and has a different thread pattern than the factory brake line threads.

Pros
  • COMPATIBLE WITH BIG BOSS 500 6X6 1998 | HAWKEYE 300 2X4 4X4 2006-2010 | MAGNUM 325 2X4 4X4 2000-2002 MAGNUM 330 2X4 4X4 2003-2006 MAGNUM 500 2X4 4X4 1999-2003 | SCREMBLER 500 4X4 2003-2012 | Sportsman 300 2008-2010 Sportsman 400 4x4 2001-2014 Sportsman 450 4x4 2006-2007 Sportsman 500 4x6 1994-2013 Sportsman 550 2014 Sportsman 550x2 2009-2014 Sportsman 700-2070-2014 Sportman 850XP 2009-2014.
Cons
  • So-so

Check each well first.

I was very impressed BEFORE my first ride with it. I was hunting 12 miles from camp and the parking brake wouldn't engage. I noticed that the nut on the starter screw was missing and the screw was almost all the way out. If I had gone any further I would have lost the brakes.

Pros
  • EASY TO INSTALL - Complete and ready to bleed on the workbench, no instructions required, easy installation | Professional installation recommended.
Cons
  • A few little things

Hold the BRAKES! in parts

waste of money. I installed it, bled the brakes with a powerful vacuum cleaner and couldn't build up any pressure. I assumed the pressure problem was being caused by something else, so I started isolating my braking system components. About 5 hours later I swapped it out for a known good master cylinder and my brakes worked. This company wasted so insanely 5 hours of my time that I will never go back. Bad craft.

Pros
  • brakes
Cons
  • poor manual

Manufacturing defect

Serious manufacturing defect. My Polaris 600 Sportsman didn't drill holes in the bottom of the master cylinder reservoir to allow the piston to pull fluid out and into the calipers. This is the second defective device I have received from KanSmart in the last two days. I will be ordering a master cylinder rebuild kit with genuine parts for my 1997 Honda TRX300FW and 2005 Polaris Sportsman 600.

Pros
  • Automobile
Cons
  • There are problems

Can't beat the price.

I gave someone my old steering wheel to "borrow" and they broke my master cylinder and put in another one which was also destroyed, the line connector was bad and the fluid was leaking and not holding the pressure. I rode without brakes for several years and used EBS to slow me down. Now I have brakes again, and at a fraction of the original parts cost, I mean a fraction. Installed now they say it works fine. It will be nice to know that I can stop by if I need to again.

Pros
  • Motorcycle & Powersports
Cons
  • There are bugs
