After trying this product, I wouldn't recommend it for kids. The pieces don't fit well and it's tricky to build. Even worse, it easily falls apart once complete.

My 7th son loves airplanes. It can name all US and Canadian domestic aircraft and some international aircraft locally. We take him to the airport every Saturday. If we're lucky. Flight number one was at the airport. He recognized him immediately and freaked out. Adding this plane to my collection wasn't difficult. It is a large size, around 10-12 inches long and semi durable. Really easy to assemble. He made himself. It comes with a stand.

I worked on a VC-137C 62-6000 back in the 80's - x when I was in Presidential Maintenance and I never took a show model airplane to put next to my KC-135A that I bought in the Philippines in the 70's. Now that I wanted to show another plane I'm working on, the wooden model is priced at over $100.
