They were slightly longer than some of the bulbs I've bought in the past and protruded too far from my fixture. One also broke when I was screwing it into the bracket. My first impression was that they looked neat, much better than the CLF vortex lamps that are all over the house. My husband prefers a light blue and white bulb and I really like the warmer yellow light. It was a good compromise as they have a slight yellow cast.
