I bought 2 monitors of this model for my wife's home office because they are the same range of monitors as the pair I have enjoyed using for the past 6 years. There are better and worse out there, but these fall in the middle, giving you the best bang for your buck with crisp 1080p images. To make things even better, I saved $100 on a pair compared to buying direct from the manufacturer.

I've been using this particular monitor at work for a while, so I bought it for my home office. The picture seems good, it has very little bevel on the left, top and right edges and it's comfortable (but not HD) which is good for most jobs and easy to control for my laptop (MacBook Pro 2013), without affecting performance. I was lucky that I already had another Dell monitor (p2715Q) with the cable I needed as it didn't come with a Mini DisplayPort or HDMI cable for easy connection to my laptop.

I was disappointed when I received this monitor. The inside of the box was dusty leading me to believe it was either old or used. There was a small scratch on the screen, about 2.5 cm long. I only use the monitor for tool palettes in Final Cut, Photoshop etc., I can live with that. First monitor I've ever bought that didn't have a sheet of paper, plastic or anything else covering the screen to avoid scratches during shipping. I bought these to have 2 vertical displays on my desk. I have one on each side of the laptop. I chose them because they have the ability to pivot vertically or horizontally out of the box without the need for a third-party mount. They add a lot more screen real estate when writing code and make daily work much easier.

It should have gotten 5 stars but there was a very small flaw in the top left corner. Approximately 1/8 inch dead pixels. I didn't even notice it for the first few hours. Not bad enough to send back. It is so small that the angle has a slight curvature instead of a right angle.

Image quality via HDMI is average, DisplayPort is slightly better. Looking for a 3 axis adjustable monitor. This fits the bill. The picture quality isn't as good as I hoped, but for $150 I'm pretty happy comparing it to monitors that are at least 2-3 times more expensive. I would probably buy it again if I intended to use it with a DisplayPort connection. HDMI works at 1080i.

This monitor is a good choice. The picture is nice and clear, not stunning, but at this price you won't get stunning. The option I really like is the way the height can be adjusted. It's well designed and makes it easy to navigate the bottom screen, and it can rotate too, which is really nice. One thing I would like to improve is the brightest, it's not bad but could use a bit more.

The only killer feature of this monitor was the ability to assign quick actions to the buttons at the bottom of the monitor. Unlike my old monitor, which required at least 6 button presses to switch between VGA and DP inputs, I was able to map each input to a button and can now switch with a single button press.
