We have ordered refurbished items several times and have never had any problems. This one was horribly packaged, there was no protection on the screen, the box looked like it had been through a war zone, cables were missing etc. It seems to work well but for the price it needed better handling. We bought the same item in February for a much lower price and it was in perfect condition. The rating is based on the handling of the devices and their costs. The monitor is fine.

This updated product does not include a VGA cable, which is required to operate the monitor. The included instructions state that a VGA cable must be included in the box. Instead, there was only HDMI and a power cable, no VGA.

I bought this for my granddaughter to use as a second monitor for her MacBook Air. Usually connected with an HDMI-USB3 cable. She is prepared and loves it when 2 monitors are running at the same time in her online courses.
