Enhance Productivity with Dell Tablet Dock for Venue 11 Pro, Inspiron 11, and Latitude 7000 Series Review

I don't know why I didn't buy one of these sooner. Oh wait a minute. I know. They used to be very expensive. But for $40 it's a good price. My only complaint is that when connected to a charger, the battery still drains quite a bit during use. I'm not sure what could be causing this, but after a few hours the tablet went from reporting 100% charge to 95% charge and registering as "connected but not charged".

All connectors are not working except 3.5mm audio jack and power jack. I didn't want to return it as I already threw away the packaging and it would be a hassle to send it back. Since the other ports weren't strictly necessary, I installed it and left it broken. Oh, wouldn't recommend that. Buy a keyboard case instead.

I was afraid to even try after reading some reviews. It's strong, the mount works great, nice and stable. I connected a keyboard key to it and it works great with both a flash drive and a USB powered hard drive. I love the Venue 11, especially since updating to Windows 10. Exactly what I needed. The charging port broke, the dog was on my tablet when I plugged it in, and Dell says I need to replace the entire motherboard. Priced at nearly $400. It charges my tablet. I can connect more things than I can: printer, camera, etc.

The dock itself looks solid but suffers from Dell's usual lack of quality control. It is fully functional and displayed on an external monitor and also has a wired LAN connection. The problem I'm having is that the power adapter really needs to be forcibly plugged into an outlet to turn it on. If I go to the ward at all, it almost always shuts down. I'm not sure if this is a design or manufacturing defect. As I work abroad, going back would be too big of a problem at the moment.
