Excellent backpack - even for beginners

I really liked this backpack. Easy to carry with many great features (sleeping bag compartment). Can't decide on a day pack but maybe on my next trip :)

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but

Excellent backpack for the money

Excellent backpack for the money. He held up well during the forty-mile hike through the Olympic Mountains. Plenty of storage, enough organization to keep things separate, and the shoulder straps and belt are quite comfortable.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Some flaws

So far so good - Camping & Hiking

It survived a week in the desert with significant weight and I leaned on it a lot on rocky stops with no breaks. I regretted buying a backpack without a zipper hole in the main compartment (the hole is only at the top, and to get to the opposite end you have to dig deep), but that's a matter of style. Back comfort was great. Again, I don't know if the bag is really good until I've ridden another 1,000km with it.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Alright

Best backpack for camping and hiking

I've been hiking for over 30 years and this is by far the best backpack. I first bought and tested this model over the phone 11 years ago and it was barely a year old. My son finally got my size so he inherited this backpack and I bought this new version of the same backpack for myself. The biggest difference between the old model and this new one is that the straps are noticeably thinner and there are no extra straps on the straps for hanging carabiners with whistle, compass, etc. I really…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
