Shoulder straps are weird, aren't they.

The shoulder straps are odd on the shoulders, don't quite fit the shoulders. It hurts a little after a while. But that's easy.

Good back for light day hikes

Lightweight bag keeps you cool compared to a traditional daypack that lies flat on your back. I feel the back panel creates a tighter space for packing items.

Great backpack for short or long hikes.

Great little backpack for long or short day trips. Mesh on the back protects your back from heavy sweating. Nice little pockets at the waist and side mesh pockets. .Integrated rain cover.

So much cooler.: Backpacking Packs

I use this as a commuting backpack in the scorching New York summer heat. SIGNIFICANTLY cooler. I'm so glad I didn't get wet to and from work just from carrying a backpack. It's also a pretty decent size for that purpose. Who knows, I might even take him on a hike.

Great fit. in backpacks

I bought this backpack for my wife and she loves it. She has broad shoulders and large breasts, (@)(@) and she had a hard time finding a smaller backpack to fit her body type. The shoulder straps on the Deuter Airlite 22 are wide enough so they don't chafe against her neck or dig into her chest when using the chest strap. also as an ultra-light backpack for an overnight camping trip.

These Deuter backpacks are almost always near perfect. The frame and harness system is great, but they tend to confuse smaller bags and put them in awkward spots. It has a small pocket that hangs out in the main compartment and when you fill it up, sometimes it can get in the way when you take things out of the main compartment. I'm a sweaty guy so these frames are perfect for me. They are very breathable and my sweat never sticks to the straps or even gets into the pocket. This is my second…
